'Very hard' lock, what level do I need?

i m able to pick em now with 8 but get the drunk perk(makes it easy 30% but 30% more noise) after that you will be able to open em when u are drunk since i dont fail while pickinglocks anymore i dont care about the noise

after wasting about 2 hours going around picking every lock in rattay, susau and like 2 other towns. it takes for ever to get that high to do very hard lock picks it's kinda stupid

Its level 15. Trust me...

Those chests offer really good loot. Got 2.5 k gold from a single chest.

It's best to rob the armorers and weaponsmith

It's 14 I just did all the armorers and wesponsmith xD armorer had 20k in once chest xD

I am level 14 lock picking, all Very Hard locks are still Too Difficult. I can open certain Very Hard doors though.

There is no other way to open them is there? I was hoping as a strength based character I could use a hammer to just smash the safes open.

im late to the party but i'd like to state i just stole 200k groschen from a trader in talmberg ON A VERY EASY CHEST. LIKE HELLO?! the door didnt even have a lock too its like they're begging to be robbed.

I'm playing on hardcore now so I don't know if it's still true, but once you get lockpicking up to four or five it seemed like you can attempt locks you have no business going anywhere near.

I tried a hard or very hard lock (don't remember which) just to see what would happen when I had about five points, and to my astonishment I managed to get the thing open.

But there are two things about that that are worth noting.

First, it was one of those magical moments when I got the lock to start in exactly the right place and managed to apply exactly the right amount of pressure with a steady hand and wrist (that doesn't happen very often).

Second, when I've gone after locks that I didn't have a prayer of opening, the game basically told me not to even bother trying.

I haven't been doing much lockpicking on hardcore, but I suspect it may not be as easy.

Im up to 8 in lockpicking and i can pick some "very hard" locks but others just say that theyre too hard and the lockpick just breaks instantly so theres different levels of "very hard" locks and theres no set level for all locks
