What is the black "ink splat" icon beside my equipped weapons/armour on the status screen?

Title. What does it signify? I know that the red splat means that my weapon has blood stains on them.

Your clothes ar muddy and you need to wash yourself. If your stuff is dirty you drop in charisma.

I think it means dirty. People react differently to bloody clothes and dirty clothes.

Watch for water buckets in the city. You can clean yourself there too.
