Question about skipping time (the gold circle in the clock)
What do the gold circles in the clock mean? when you press T to skip time

The gold circles are movements of the sun, the first is dawn, then noon, then dusk.
Its just there to help tell you when daylight starts or ends.

I think they're key moments like shops opening and closing, or NPCs going to bed and waking up.

Nope. It’s for dawn (6:00 am), midday (12:00 pm), dusk (6:00 pm), and midnight (12:00 am).
