Is the dice game rigged or what?
So I've been playing dice whenever I can. I swear to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god it's rigged. This guy rolls triple ones, triple ones and sixes, sometimes roll after roll. I have not won a single round and I play the way they do.
Is it RIGGED???

I would say so. The AI NPC constantly defies the odds when rolling.

I'm not sure there is any point to playing. The money gains even if you were to win are paltry and you don't get any xp gain frtom playing.

I have won both the games ive played. But only bet 10 gold so i dont know if higher bets change the odds

I have found a pair of rigged dices. The AI might have them too. :steammocking:

So far I got 5 rigged dice.
Live is good.

You are not gambling, you are comparing your rigged dice.

The dice game is destroying my character. First time, ah a dice game that's nice let's try it. Now I spend every groschen I own on those damn dices. Finish a quest, go play dice. Find some good loot, sell it, go play dice... I started out as a noble young man with good values. Those are all gone now, I steal anything and hurt anyone just to get some Groschen so I can recover my losses and get rich...

You need better Agility for perfect throw, Drinking Skill to get home safely IF you win and then some rigged dice.
Is there something else to do in this game?

Farkle is far from unwinnable, even without the Perfect Throw perk, you just need to learn how to properly play it, a bit like the swordplay. I enjoy this game, and often sit down and play a few rounds if I have nothing else going on. True that the AI defies the odds at times, but it also often tries to do so and busts horribly. More often than not, the AI seems to fail when deciding to throw a single dice, even if it sometimes wins big. It is a game of some strategy, though, so if you blindly keep all the 1's and 5's you get, your score will not amount to much. Go for Three+ of a kind (beware that 3x2 and 3x3 are fairly poor 3OAK's unless you can clean the table with them) and any combination of the straights (1-6, 1-5, 2-6), and know when to quit your hand before you lose what you have gained. The game hasn't really felt rigged for me until I got Perfect Throw, and then it became virtually unlosable.

Oh - you get reputation from playing as well, so it's not a complete waste. :)

That dice game is pretty addicting once you get the rules down...avoided it for the first 30 hours of my newb gaming run til I finally got around to watching some youtube videos on the nuances of said game.

You collect your own rigged dice and it becomes trivial.

I just finished a session where I sat down to play dice with 6 loaded dice. I racked up 11,500 points before I surrendered the throw. Poor guy lost his money without even getting to throw! LOL

I also just discovered that I got the "win 1 thousand Groschen playing dice" achievement in steam. I have so many loaded dice in my inventory I have trouble choosing which ones to play with when I start a game.

I really regret picking up Perfect Throw. I don't really know what I expected when I chose it, but it has ruined Farkle for me completely. I used to kick back and play a few games in the evening before virtual bedtime to get a change of pace from all the weird errands and killing. It was never for the money either, as the monetary rewards were trivial compared to the revenue from all the loot I brought back, it was just for fun. Used to win most rounds. After I picked up Perfect Throw, the randomness was completely gone. I would hardly get straights anymore, because the dices were more often than not rigged to three+ of a kind, and you were more or less guaranteed a valid dice on most throws. Only a fool can lose Farkle with this perk, and then it just turns into a poorly paid waitfest with no real excitement in it. I highly support that the skill choices are permanent with no chance of respeccing, but this is the only perk I regret picking up. I wish they would redesign it into some sort of proc effect, not just a permanent rigging, but I can't see that happening.

I believe there's a potion that allows you to respec.
