Oh, that's easy.
Export the game 3d model from the game. Load it in your favourite 3d modeller software. Make your own hairstyle. Save as fbx. Import it to cry engine, do some small changes, shaders, colors, etc. Import it back to the game. Easy thing.

that's how they made the textures?
Who they? The devs? The textures can be made in every 3d software package, lightwave, maya, modo. Or some texture making software, like substance painter

i think i saw a barber shop sign in the first town your taken to on the cart after getting beat up while trying to burry ur perents.
Never tried to go in it, and see what it is, and it could always be that the shop sign looked similar to something to a barber shop

Maybe you can shave in barber shop. Now think realistic, you can't change your hairstyle in 15th century. You wouldn't waste your money for this, as poor boy. Maybe a small haircut.

Yeah the devs, wait, maybe you re right, the more i look at those the more it looks like anybody could have made them.

But first you have to learn how to handle the 3d software, I'm in it since over 24 years ))

I swear I saw a video featuring minimal custom face/hair options, but it was part of a developmental teaser thing.

Oh my god, why is the idea of having minor customization like this an issue? Honestly. Peasants did have to cut their hair as well as shave too, you know~ It wouldnt be difficult to imagine them changing up their hair style every once in awhile just for the sake of it. In fact nobility was pretty renowned for doing it throughout the eras, and Henry, while isnt exactly a noble, is a black smiths apprentice.. which isnt exactly a peasant either. (especially considering most blacksmiths lived a rather luxurious life, especially during this time period, thanks to how needed they very were. In fact theres many cases where smiths were even more well off than some nobles) However his status doesnt even matter anyway, since its been recorded that nobles and peasants both cared about their hair. (though it was usually noble influence over the peasants. Kind of like how we are with celeberties now~ If you saw Sir Knightly Awesomepants with a nice handlebar mustache.. you might wanna try that style out yourself, ya know?)

In fact there are many regions throughout the eras that had many style phenomena, such as men with long hair and women with short.. kinda really proving that people, even the peasants, gave a damn about how they looked, even with their hair~

However, this all being said, i will agree that barbers, from what i recall anyway, didnt become a thing until later on (iirc around the 15th-16th century, and only because of demand and changes in economy) Most people did it themselves with a shaving kit, or just the old fashioned way with a knife (or scissors if you were a tailor or armor smith). Something like this would be difficult to find a balanced way to implement it however, especially if youre looking to keep realism in tact (though this being said, KCD isnt entirely realistic.. It does its best, but in most cases it does remember its a game, and makes obvious design choices for such thing)

that's insanely incorrect actually lmao.
Barbers operated as surgeons and hairdressers. The reason being the typical work they did was like amputation and the like, and very few people wanted amputation. they made moeny on the side from being a hairdresser. if no one would waste their money on it, then they would of became something else.
