Bailiff problems
I assassinated the Bailiff of Rattay - snuck in, found him writing in his study and stabbed him from behind.

Now I need to talk to him in a main-quest I received after this (and didn't know of when I killed him).
He has somehow respawned - don't ask me how - so that's fine and good, but he gets aggresive as soon as he sees me (not that strange).

Sooo...
Any ideas how to be able to talk to him again?
This main-quest ("Train Hard, Fight Easy") demands it, but it's impossible since he views me as an enemy.

He won't accept surrender sadly.
I also tried running outside and surrendering to the guards, but even though they accept it, the Bailiff keeps attacking me...

Not really helpful after already doing it, but thx mate. ;)
That's the thing though, isn't it?
He isn't named - simply "Bailiff".
It's a title, just like "Guard".

Hows your reputation with rattay? if its negative I suggest improving it they will be more likely to take surrender when you have a good rep.

It's literally 0. ^^
Problem is, the guards do accept surrender - it's just that the Bailiff doesn't.
Any tips on how to reduce notoriety/improve my reputation?
In Rattay specifically.

Doing quests for them, killing bandits in the surroundings talk to bernard on that he should get you started with some camps to clear out, and this is random but wayfaring beggars if you give them coin it will raise up.

After I completed the quest getting my people jobs, he became aggressive, he yells at Henry to get out or something similar. Yet all the people are happy to see Henry as he wonders around town.

Thanks!
Ironically, the only quests I have come across involved stealing (which only lowered my reputation further)... ^^
Do you have to do anything special for Bernard to give you these bandit missions?

I don't think so I asked him after he gave combat training so it opens up pretty early on.
