As any skill in RL, you need a practice to be good at that particular skill. You must fail in life so hard, because you can't learn anything new by this attitude.
The game is historically accurate, it was said many times in development, then people buy the game and immediately look for mods to make it unrealistic....sigh, you bought the wrong game.
I and many others like that locks are very hard if not impossible to pick because that's how it is with real locks, and just like real locks they are almost not worth picking. I wish we had more games with this level of difficulty and realism. Skyrim and Fallout locks were a complete joke.
You don't seem to be the only one reporting this, it seems like a bug for sure. That needs to be fixed, but not the difficulty.
Yeah, unfortunately, it's a bug making the game impossible at this point, because I can't proceed in the game without picking a lock. I'm pretty much done until they fix it.
