Bandit boss fight: runt, is really that hard?
I managed to destroy the cuman/bandit hideout with my crew when i finally spot the guy who stole my Ser Radzig sword, then we chase him out on the "wooden castle", where we finally face one of hour main antagonists, but this is harder than you can think!

This guy seems to be vulnerable at headshots (he have no helmet, this guy is smart like a cactus) so i started to fight him with my longsword......then he completely destroyed me cause of those factors:

1: Your health and stamina dosen't regen after the fight with cumans and bandits, so you face this guy with low health (if you are lucky you face him with half heart, if you are well....unlucky.....you are just fudged up badly), so he can easily finish you and completely destroy your remaining stamina with some wrong parries.

2: This guy seems to have a high body defense, so his only weakpoint is his head. Unfortunally his defense skills are quite high, so you will never be able to hit him in the head with the sword (or other melee weapons i guess?)

3: My armor level was pretty bad (i stole some cuman's leader armor before the fight), and also repairing stuff on this game is expensive like gold plating your A%#.

4: My level isn't that high, cause i passed alot of time on increasing my lockpicking abilities and stealing rather than power up my fighting skills (i hope that was the cause of why Runt's health was so high, even when i hit him in the head)

CONCLUSION: since this guy was basicly immortal for my standards i used the same tactic i used for the 3-4 bandits fight at the windmill.......BOW AND RUN! fortunally i stole a fresh new cuman's bow, and headshots saved my life on this fight.

Now i ask for some tips for the future, since this fight scared the crap out of me. I managed to collect 5.4K of groschens, what i should do now?

The only time it is one-sided in your favor is when you strayed from the main quest or trained a lot with Bernard, making everything extremely easy.

I think this fight is actually well-balanced. You being underleveled and maybe lacking experience as a player might've been the cause, but hey, you did it after all.

Spend some time training at Bernard's.

I was so afraid of this fight by reading the whining on the forums I raised my levels to near 20, so when I did finally meet him he put a fight, but he was still EASY... It was a disappointment. I fought the bandit camp wearing the best armor so I didn't get hurt before facing Runt either.

So it's hit or miss. If you go in as a wimp you have to cheese it with a bow and arrow, but if you go in high level then he's not really scary, just a decent opponent.

most bandits on the streat are harder. seriously, i faked a few low strikes that i switched to headswings (cuz he has no helm) and i believe the third hit and immediately finished him. not bragging or anything but he was by far the easiest armored guy i fought yet

Lol? I killed this guy in one combo. Headcracker did the job for me

What comes after this, is harder for sure.

This was one of the easiest fights in the game. It was over in 10 seconds once I managed to draw my best weapon.

The hardest part was that there is a bug where the load of the scene swapped my weapons. I had to sheath a weapon I was unskilled with and then draw the weapon I was good with, which took ages to complete. Thanks KCD.

I had to use bow and arrow and after 2 hits he was history.

I love the Headcracker perk. Managed to knock someone out with it using my fists.

I think I was over levelled when it came to this fight; about level 12 Sword skill. I just blocked, dodged and aimed for his head. Finished him pretty quickly.

if you learn master strikes from bernard then all the fights are easy. i noticed you can actually perfect block opponents you're not even focused on if you time it right.
