Henry father *spoiler*
Am I the only one who thinks it was a little stupid and completely unnecessary?

Henry, in complete disrespect to the memory of the man who raised him all his life immediately starts calling Radzig "father" despite the fact that he never cared about him before the story began. I think their relationship was nice as it is, it did not need this "gotcha" moment.

And somehow virtually all the other characters behave like it was so obvious all along..wtf

I don't know why the timestamp link doesn't work, 32:54.

This critique has a similar opinion about it as you.

Your title is a bad spoiler warning though, if someone who hasn't got to that point yet, he now has to suspect a twist, so even if you don't name the real father in the title, you could "ruin" an experience, because somebody will have to expect a twist now.

If Radzig didn't care about Henry, why did he give him up to his his friend (the good man that raised Henry) to raise him. If he didn't care about him, he could have just had Henry killed at birth so no one would find out about his bastard son. Not to mention he literally watched over him while he grew up.

It's pretty cliched, yes. But it's also very human to address a biological parent as "mother" and "father" even after barely knowing him. It is NOT a sign or dimishment of an adopted parent's role in that child's life.

Disrespect? His father is dead. That leaves a huge void. To deny a chance to have that void filled, is hardly disrespectful.

I don't how he's disrespecting Martin? He still addresses him as "Da" in his conversation with Theresa. And pay attention to the story, if Radzig didn't care, he'd have just let Henry grow up as a bastard like most nobles did. He'd arranged for his friend to take care of them both, he even asked Divish to ensure that Henry doesn't leave Talmberg.
