This is a Triple A title! End of story!
I think so for sure!

Nawww... it's still got Indie written all over. You can call it AAA Indie. That's a phrase coined by Ninja Theory.

Ummm, sorry OP, not at all...

The game got its start on kickstarter, I was an original backer, so not a AAA title at all, and have to say there are a few too many bugs and loose ends to be anywhere near AAA quality.

That said, it is it's own game, it has its own quality, charm, and experience sometimes beyond what AAA can provide, so in that sense I agree with your enthusiasm for the game and story. Basically it is a gem in the rough though.

But it has not gone far with community modding, which is a barometer for success in my opinion....

Its an AA not AAA

AAA refers to the amount of funding/size of the company behind it/units expected to be sold.

Not the tier of the game. If that was the case a lot of AAA games wouldn’t be AAA. They would be like B.

AAA games are garbage.
KCD isn't.
Therefore KCD isn't AAA.

Have to agree, the environment is random and very natural in appearance, not like other games. I feel like they walked over the entire map moving branches and dung heaps (with flies!) just to randomize or have those sh!t heaps make sense. Love that I can sit in a loo and read a book, they have a fine sense of humour.

But, so many other things they could have polished just a bit more to add depth. For example, once you make friends with Capon, you can't play dice with him, ever. Why? That's like his joie de vivre, besides drink and wenches...
