What's the point of poison if it doesn't even work?
These guys should be so nauscious and unable to stand up straight, but they keep fighting like nothing is happening.

They do work. Which poison are you using?

Bane. It's only the most potent.

Bane on an arrowhead works. Sometimes.

So, there's no point. Because it doesn't work.

When you get poisoned in game yourself. You slowly lose like 150 HP over a 5 minute period is what the buff is.

I’d assume the enemies work the same way. You also need to deal health damage with a weapon. Obviously hitting armor isn’t going to poison them.

If you’re not sure if your poison works or not, the recommended course of action is to drink some, close your eyes, count backwards from 100, and then check Henry’s health.

The problem is that this game cheats. No one else seems to have a stamina meter, for example. And everyone who plays dice has the most wicked luck. So, of course things are going to work on Henry that will absolutely not work on any other player.

You're welcome to tell me that all you want. You'll still be wrong.

These devs pride on "realism" but they only pay lip service to realism. They don't seem to understand some animals are colorblind, so what color you wear will literally not matter when sneaking. Or that archers learned the basics of archery by shooting targets. Or that most people couldn't keep up with a horse.

And . . . . people need to defecate, and injuries from a battle would require weeks (not a single night) to heal, and there are more than three types animals in the forest, and . . . the most glaring lack of realism of all!

duhn-dun-DAAAHH!

The world does not actually exist on a computer screen and yet that is what the dev's gave us!!!

Dude, it's a game. Of course everything is not the same as reality. The game is not reality. . . .

I think.

Sincerely,
Henry

You fanboys just don't get it. You just don't get it. It is so sad how little you get it.

Henry, is about as customizable as Skyrim. Actually it's worse. Here's the issue: How many skills does the game have. Lots! It has drinking. It has lockpicking. It has sneaking. It has it all, right?

But how many of those skills can you actually trained up? Five. Mace, ax, sword, warefar and defense. That's it. Because those are the only skills where there is a practice environment that allows training up of those skills. Some of the skills are inconsequential that there's no training environment (and would actually be kind of stupid if they did) like reading and drinking. Who cares? (Speaking of reading, the devs are morons yet again. Did they not know so long as all the letters are right in a word, that the brain would still be able to read it without issue?)

But some of them like archery, stealth, and lockpicking, the lack of environment means you're placed in a catch 22, particularly in a uniquely difficult RPG. Take stealth for example. Stealth could technically be built up, but you can't build it up because you have to actually successfully sneak up on someone, and you can't successfully sneak up on someone because your stealth is low. The same goes with archery. You have to build archery by shooting something living, but you can't shoot living things because you get in trouble, so that leaves combat only. And you don't want to use archery combat because you're bad at it!

Now, this wouldn't be so terrible, if you could just reload your game each time you fail until the one time you get lucky. But they have a terrible save system that doesn't allow for that. They wanted you to face, "consequences." But the only consequence is that you don't get to customize Henry the way you want.

This makes no sense either from realism perspective or a gameplay perspective!

You can argue, "Well, shoot the livestock. And just sneak up and knock people out." Well, now I have to be a delinquent and that defeats the idea of roll playing.

You see, this is a game that is linear as hell and is masquarading as an RPG. Yes, it has some open world elements and character skill customizing in theory, but in practice you're streamlined into one skill set: Fighting with melee weapons and that's it.

I play hardcore. You can notice when an enemy is low on stamina by them breathing hard and the like. You can take advantage of it pretty easily.

I have lost one game of dice so far in my current play through. But I also run 4 loaded dice.

But yeah. The game isn’t fair a lot of the times. So you stack the deck in your own favor.

low stamina enemies are rather easy to spot- they start having trouble holding their weapon and blocking my strikes
