Will there be dragons?
I know every medieval game nowadays have dragons in their games, and, so far, I've read this game is supposed to be realistic, so I presume we got no dragons, right?

Any official statement?

I think adding dragons in a realistic game (as in "realistic" - a dimension or concept that represents the reality of the world the creators come from, abiding by its laws and borderline) IS PLAIN STUPID.

The tag line was 'Dungeons and no Dragons'. What do you think that implies about the number of dragons actually in the game (as distinct from in art work/heraldry/myths within the gameworld but not real)

I mean, if they wanted to emulate King Arthur, Lionheart, Marshal etc. they would add no witchcraft and such...

You know I was pretty much joking with the guy right ? and what I said was "painted dragons on a shield" ... not that I expect all people to understand that.

I really like fantasy games with dragons and magic and all kinds of this things (especially Skyrim). But it's either a fully realistic game or fully fantasy game, no middle grounds and no discussion.

So Game of Thrones is what exactly?
Its a middle ground, thats called "low fantasy". Thats stuff where most things are pretty realistic, but some are fictional and myth. Like lets say a game about the Black Plague where everything is realistic from that time, but yet there are witches raising the undead.
Movies like Krabat are low fantasy, series like GoT are low fantasy, games like BattleBrothers are low fantasy.
Low fantasy means there are some myths around, but no elves, dwarves and dragons.
And even if there are dwarves, they are no magical creatures.
Thats the middle ground. And actually, a middle ground is quite fine for such games.
But ofcourse, with making a realistic medieval game, such things have no place. Thats why people here make fun of it.

A song of ice and fire is high fantasy. Sure the "tv series" made it more light on fantasy, but even that is not "low" fantasy.
