I believe you're asking about the stat bonus you pick at the beginning?
Depends on your playstyle.
Speech is useful, gives you access to some quest shortcuts/alternative solutions. It's also the most difficult stat to level up normally so free +2 at the start is very beneficial in that sense.
Strength on the other hand will make early combat encounters easier, and agility will help you get a grasp of the lockpicking mechanic which somehow becomes a huge problem for some people.
But this game is not about minmaxing so pick whatever seems more interesting to you. In my opinion this question wasn't even worth creating a thread, but there you go.

Now that Theo has started answering, i can add my own thoughts as well. ;)

In the beginning scene, i double down on Speech most times, or added Speech and Agility, since agility is rather important for bow & short sword (which are both useful in the early part of the game, before you encounter armored opponents).

As far as "Best Builds" go... well, the game doesn't really force you to choose a "build" since every stat and skill can be trained by everyone. And there are plenty of "perk points" so there are no limitations by mid-game.

Thus, the only thing that determines your "build" is your armor and your role-playing (how you want Henry to behave). I use stealth armor for being stealthy, and tank armor for being tanky - all on in the same playthrough without changing point distribution.

Perk point selection has almost nothing to do with it, although some perks are better than others.

Here is what I tend to do.

1. Pick speech at the start. Speech is the hardest to level. Agility is kind of a hard stat depending on your weapons but isn't needed that much early on.

2. Collect literally every single flower or herb you can find. When you reach level 10 in herbalism you can pick a perk called "Leg Day". It will level up your strength as you pick herbs. Eventually the radius you collect flowers in will become rather big so it go pretty fast. You can end the starting area with something like 4-6 strength rather easily. A problem that will happen early on however is that you are rather intimidating and some easy enemies will flee from you instead of fighting.

3. Learn to read and start brewing potions using alchemy. When you reach level 13 you can literally mass produce potions and marigold potions are easy to make. That way you can waddle your arse over to Neuhof and buy yourself Boxer. He is a cheap and reliable early game horse. Trojan can haul like no one else, but you will also be thrown off the horse as soon as you enter combat. Better to just get Boxer and run past all enemies. With him you can start selling your potions everywhere and become a rich noble before you even ended the tutorial fully. All you need to know is the location of where you can find some Belladonna plants and you can create yourself a near unlimited supply of saves as well.
