user.cfg not being loaded?
If you have a user.cfg file in the root directory, do you see any log notation of it being loaded in the console window? I have a user.cfg file but it does not appear to be loading, nor is there any mention of it in the console log.

Did you put in the steam launch options "+exec user.cfg " when it does load you should see the stuff that you added to it appear in the console

I added +exec user.cfg to the desktop shortcut, but it still does not work.

Supposedly you are also able to enter "exec user" in the console, but that does not do anything. I can "exec system" and that works.

In playing around with it, I just solved it, as the darned file shows up as user.cfg.cfg in a command prompt window, but not in the win10 file explorer menu. Darned Win10 silliness.....
