Devices, these require good armour*, and an aggressively cautious playstyle - one in which each attack is performed as an option to a step voiding a counter. The cuts flow on a single diagonal back and forth if there is no other player input, or interaction with weapons in the centre. Once displaced you will flow on the other diagonal more often than continuing on the same.
Thrusts are RMB from any guard, so the easiest devices are those which enter from the lower left in a rising cut and follow either with a falling cut or go directly to a paired thrust (simulating a thwart cut or a thrust to the wrist).
* You have a higher risk of being countered if you persist in attempting the same few actions, so mix up the intended devices, with either other actions, or different entries to different device types. Good armour and modest levels of commitment - mostly easily against a single opponent (but not exclusively) - will protect you from most of the casual reply, and moving protects you from the follow on, even if you are out of stamina (blocking requires stamina and removes your safe ability to attack).

I never bothered with that achievement it doesnt require 100 in one go it slowly adds up as you use them over time. Like collecting the 10,000 herbs achievement takes a long time then suddenly oneday it just adds the achievement. Brewing potions to sell got me that one. I played a long time to get just the achievements I have you've played only half the time and already got most of the achievements :)
Build what you can afford. After the first 3 items (Lumberyard, Bridge, Trader) - gather supplies Except Livestock.
Then Build Tavern, Forge, Bakery, Guards, BeeHive, and all upgrades (save smithy for last, until you decide which NPC you want to recruit)
This costs around 40k
And then, start recruiting special "skilled labourers" as described here:
