Can you stealth kill the vicar in Uzhitz without it being detected as a crime.
Tried multiple times to stealth kill the vicar in Uzhitz and it's always immediately magically known by his Guards (they're not even close when I kill him). Can you stealth kill anybody without it immediately being a detected crime?

Sniped him with a bow from big distance in one of my playthroughs, worked

Ha, that's a good one. I've moved on from that situation and don't have a save around there now but maybe I'll try that on someone else.

I just did that quest in that way.
I went in the house he was sleeping (with 2 other guars in the house), i talked to him to launch the quest (it was the very beginning of the quest, after talking to Hanush), he woke up to speak with me and then after the discussion, he walked into another little room (with only one bed) to sleep again. So... I stealth killed him here during his sleep (with a dagger huh). Walked out of the house, traveled to Hanush. Quest finished.

Ok, but do you now have a crime icon for Uzhitz on your reputation tab.

Not that it really matters because Uzhitz itself seems to have no guards.

One playthrough I did end up sneaking into the Vicar's room and knifed him, no crime icon and no one noticed. I snuck back into my lodgings and went to bed.

In the morning, I went to buy some breakfast from the innkeep, and his reaction was... interesting. I did the ask-about-news bit, and his response was something akin to 'Oh, yeah, buddy, something suspicious definitely happened last night, if you know what I mean, and I think you do, sir."

Odd.

Went back to Hanush to finish the quest, and told him about what happened (there was no other option in the dialog). Well, he went ballistic, I can tell you. Didn't get any reward, just a bunch of yelling from Hanush. I felt so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it I loaded up a save point just to do the quest over.

I think Hanush was mad that the Vicar died. Don't think he knew it was you but he was pissed bc the vicar is an important person and was murdered in Hanush's land

So, you can kill him without getting the crime icon. I tried about 4 times and could have sworn there was nobody there but him and Henry. They must have seen me sneaking into the house.

Just whilst we talk about this.

The amount of guards that are in the town the morning after Playing with the Devil Quest when the three women die. The town was crawling with guards. No one was interested in me though.

I haven't even seen that quest?!

You get it from Hanush after a certain point in the main quest. Basically the Vicar is like an inquisitor sent to root out heresy. You can either help him, get him to leave, or kill him.

Wheh? I know that quest that's the one I was asking about whether it's possible to kill the Vicar without getting the crime tag. I finished that quest and at no point did anybody get killed. I don't remember seeing a "Playing with teh Devil Quest".
