How do I get Bernard to teach me??
I learned sword ripostes/masterstrokes, and now I can't learn axe/mace riposte stuff or defence. When I ask he just says "are you pulling my pizzle?"

I went to jail and paid indulgence to see if that fixes it, it didn't. Is there a cheat I can use to fix this

If you just started punching him out of the blue, he might decide to teach you a lesson . . .

Hi! What's the reputation for Rattay Lords or whatever it is under the Reputation tab? Anyway I thought you could only learn masterstrikes for one type of weapon and then on you can either practice with real/practice weapon, pay for training levels, or learn a combo! Once I learned masterstrike for sword I no longer had an option for any other weapon.
All my reputation is 50 or above for rattay in general and I never did a crime on purpose except lock picking and stealing stuff without getting caught for quests. Never attacked any innocent people.

Accept his quest to go kill some bandits and your reputation with Bernard will increase, and then he'll teach you again.

Another option is to go to the other trainer in Talmberg. He also will teach mace. If you have'nt pulled his pizzle recently he might just see you in a better light. If he does teach you then give him a tip to keep him somewhat happy since you don't really know what you did.

Are you pulling my pizzle?
Defense, axe and mace are paid 'passive' training options that have nothing to do with master strikes. You can't buy advanced levels of 'passive' training if you don't have enough skill, or if you don't have enough money, which must be obvious from that dialogue.
When you train master strikes you learn them for every type of weapon at once. You just choose which weapon you want to complete training with.

Bernard's rep with the player is based on guards and lords. He's extra spicy. :steammocking:

^^^ This.

and learning Master Strike / Riposte for ANY weapon, will allow you to use it for ALL weapons.

Thus, Bernard believes you have Already Learned Matser Strikes - so you don't need more training - thus, "(you must be joking, right ?)"
