2 Playthroughs at once?

My girlfriend is in love with this game after seeing me play it but my PC is the only one that can run it Max settings. I want to let her play without risking it overwriting my saves. Is there an easy way to do this? If I click 'New Game' are my old saves deleted or overwritten naturally? I play on Hardcore so there is no autosaving but she won't and I don't want it to autosave over something of mine or something. I can't just try it out so that's why I am asking, if it isn't that easy then you guys and may have a workaround. Thanks :)

Cut out your saves to a new folder name it Yourname Saves. Then let her start a new game and then repeat this everytime you change playing make a folder for her saves.
When she is done playing cut her saves out and paste into her folder. Copy your saves back.
Saves are here make a shortcut to them.
C:\Users\YourName\Saved Games\kingdomcome\saves
Oh and disable cloud saves or they will over ride yours. Do this first before playing
R/click KCD properties>updates

I was hoping it wouldn't have to work that way but it's the only way I can think of it happening without it just working itself out. Thanks for confirming.

Just use non-adjacent playlines. (You can use adjacent ones too technically, but I saw some potential for confusion and some evidence that it existed at least at some point from the save being playline1 while it's container was playline0)...

You take playlines 0, 2, she takes 6, 4 or some suitable equivalent.

You can archive any stale or paused playlines.


By default you can have many different playlines available at once as a game function.

I would exit to the desktop and restart before loading a new save from earlier in your own, or from a different playline.

This is absolutely not neccessary, as Lieste said. You can use different Playlines. When you start a new game or try to load you pick a playline and that's how it works. It is a feature specifically made for having multiple playthroughs simultaneously.

talk about a total waste of time for a solution. Dont get me wrong it would work. But you would be wasting your time because as every other person said. When you click new game. You can just save to a different playline.


Meaning there isnt only 1 playline you can save to. Meaning All his girlfriend has to do is save to a different playline( different save slot)
