I've finished normal mode with 120 hours +- and just want to expand the experience on hardcore but without a decent compass it's impossible. Tks anyway!
This I agree! I mean come on! I want it to be hard too by having negative perks, harder fights, and I was hoping for wolves to come out somewhere... but the compass.. who takes away the compass. Its a huge map with huge forest.
BRING BACK THE COMPASS!
Agreed. I can vouch for using your eyes to navigate, there’s a reason there are shrines and Interesting Sites etc on the map. Use those to get a rough idea of where you are and go from there.
Hardcore is very doable.
It's morning.
You can visually see the sun in one direction.
That's the East.
Figure out the rest from there.
The game is generous enough to give you the time. It must feel pretty bad that thousands of years ago people figured this out and here you are complaining on a computer.
why do you have trouble remembering where things are in a game. After you played a full playthrough of it.
If your having that much trouble just find an image of the map on the internet and just save it as your desktop wallpaper.
And play in windowed mode.
As far as orientation Use the sun. Sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
So if the sun is on your right and its before 12pm Then the sun is in the direction of east.
Sun on your left. and its after 12pm Then the sun is in the direction of west.
Then you just estimate north and south from which ever direction the sun is.
Anyway I'm unaware of any mods that bring GPS navigation back in hardcore
This is a challenge which is entirely manageable, and not even very involved.
If you are seeking a small hidden cache, train and use your hound to aid you....?
get this mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/852), and read the "post" section to learn how to install it

You can really get lost in forests though.
