Warhorse Jenda not for sale?

I rode to Merhojed to grab one of the best horses, I have 3.5k so money's no issue.. But the horse isn't on the list for sale, all the others are.. Does this horse get locked out until horsemanship is higher (I'm 11 in horsemanship) or is it locked until after a specific quest, or do I need to fulfil any other unlock conditions, please?

I may otherwise have to settle for another decent horse but I like to save Groschen and go straight for the best. Cheers in advance!

EDIT: I remember now stealing a horse for the Miller and I may have taken the best horse by mistake for him, does that mean I'm now locked out of getting it?

This might be the case, I'm unaware of any unlock conditions. Check if Jenda is also missing at the stables (horses you can buy usually roam around so you can check their stats)

There are stables at Neuhof and Uzhitz that also have great tier 5 horses. And you can build your own stables with unique horse in From the Ashes DLC

Thank you for replying. I mulled it over, I'm quite certain Jenda's gone for good! I'll buy Al-Buraq or Chollima instead. I bought all the DLC but it's my first playthrough so I don't know much about building my own stable, but I'll damn look forward to that and the unique horse!

Without spoiling anything, play through the main story until your told to go talk to Divish at Talmberg. He'll tell you that he wants you to help rebuild something, that's how you build your own stables.
