My reasoning: Games get boring to me after finishing the main quest. Vranik is basically the beginning of the end of the game to me. Also, you can use the loot and stat gains you might get in the DLC events for the end game battles.
So far so good.
From the Ashes... I did that before I started the monastery quest and I think the timing felt right in terms of the story.
BoB - You can do this anytime but it feels natural to do it late in the game. Personally I would not have been able to finish the last battle successfully if I wasn't a fully powered up level 20 Henry wearing all of the best equipment. It was tougher than any main quest battle imo. Without giving too much away you can finish the final battle in a variety of ways. Finishing it in the way that I wanted and that felt like the best ending was quite tough.
