Why aren't there any black coloured Tier 5 horses?

I feel your pain, and its pretty frustrating. All the (basic game - without DLC) good horses are white (=glowing ears in the dark) or light grey ones (disgusting colour, reminds me of Pebbles).

I wanted a normal brown horse (Olena style) but the useful brown coloured horses are even rarer (even DLC doesnt help you), the best ones being Trojan (lvl 1), Epona (lvl 1) and Roach (lvl 2) ...that pretty much says it all.

However, for a black horse i suggest using Podgragros from Merhojed: do not let his poor courage discourage you (heh); if your horsemanship is 20 (easily done with golden spurs even midgame), you have all the best horse gear + horse trait from herbalism (with 30 herbs in horse inventory) + raider on the storm trait - then you'll have 18 courage when there is no storm (with storm its 12, light rain sometimes doesn't count as storm either). 18 courage is more than enough since even on horses with maximum 20 courage i get knocked/thrown down as easily.

If stamina is not too important to you (not on Hardcore) and having a dark gray (almost black) horse is ok for you, then pick Bucephalus from Neuhof.

...of course with "from the ashes" DLC you can get a godly black and another godly dark grey horses.

Dafuq are these poor bait and racist comments? He's very obviously asking for a black-coloured horse. To those comments all I can say is that you are the ones causing a problem.
As for horses. When you get 'from the ashes' DLC you'll be able to build a Stables which will have a dark-colored T5 horse named Shadowmere. I think Shadowmere is better then jenda in 3 stats and slightly lower in the 4th one.

Aye, I have seen that as I have the DLC. But I think I would prefer to build the Guardhouse instead. Kanthaka is the horse I favour =
