Band of Bastards final Battle
So I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but this is just plain stupid...
The Stone starts the battle unarmed (I restarted a safe 3 missions back and still...) and all my people start dying before I'm even capable of killing a single enemy. And then I get aggroed by 3-4 at the same time making it impossible to defend...
For the life of me I can't seem to beat this mission...

Check HENRY's stats..you may not be Ranked Up enough yet in game maybe?

It's a pain keeping everyone alive but it is possible, won the battle the first try but Stone died, it took 3-4 reloads specifically running straight at the guys closest to him to aggro them before they attacked him but it is possible to win the battle without losing a single one of your guys.
You might just need a better Henry.. I tanked the hell outta that battle to keep everyone on my side alive and it wouldn't be possible without high stats and great armour.

Well I have 16 Strength, 16 Sword, 14 Warfare and 14 Def, as well as full milanese plate armor... I thought that is good enough... but Hagen keeps killing me instantly...

...sounds like you need to practice your combat a bit then ;) Henry having high stats doesn't help if you as a player aren't capable of using those stats to your advantage. No offence intended, that's just the way it is. It really shouldn't be a hard fight with those levels.
Maybe try practicing with a mace, because from what I remember everybody on the Zoul side is wearing plated armour so your Sword isn't really gonna do much against them no matter how skilled you are with it.

Normally I don't really have an issue, but I keep getting swarmed because all of them seem to die so quickly... maybe I'll try the mace... I just never liked those :D

Yeah the mace definitely isn't my preferred weapon, it just feels cooler doing everything with a sword.. but sometimes, you gotta use the right tool for the job lol swords just aren't good against heavy armour. It's fine in a 1 on 1 because you can take your time and whittle them away bit by bit, but in a big battle like this you need to rekk people as quickly and efficiently as possible, and the mace is the only thing for it.

At 16 Strength you should be able to use even the heaviest mace in the game, the Ceremonial (though it's pretty expensive and I have never seen it as loot, you can only get it by purchasing from a swordsmith) and that thing will take down just about everyone in that fight in 2-4 hits except maybe Hagen himself. Just take out his cronies first because they go down easy and stops your side from being killed by them, once they are dealt with it will be you + your entire side against Hagen by himself and you could probably just stand back and watch them pummel him if you wanted :P

I'll try that, thx! :)

Send them away, don't give them a single coin. Fight a duel instead as it is just simply more prestige for you.

Wait is that actually an option? I never saw dialogue leading to challenging a duel, I would definitely have taken that lol I always prefer 1 on 1 fights because it's a lot easier to actually use the combat mechanics and get your combos and master strikes in while you're not being stabbed in the back by 2 other clowns :P

Just don't give the useless turncoat mercs money, they leave you to it, follow dialogue from there.
I just wish there was the option to hunt them all down after to pay the piper.

Wow, didn't think it would be an option to send them away without the money considering the only reason they were being turncoats was for the money in the first place... I figured if you tried something like that you'd just end up having to fight the Zouls and the band of bar*ds at the same time lol... luckily I haven't started the DLC in my current playthrough yet, definitely gonna check that option out this time.

I have the same problem - all my bastards start without weapon. But I manage to understand why. It is one of the unofficial mode. For me it was mode for polearm weapon. The problem is - when you first loging with this mode - all npc put their weapon to ground. Exept the npc that appear in the game :) You have to dissable all modes and return to the save long bedore the bastard campaing started. In this case ecerything will be ok.

If it is only one without a weapon, it is not a mod. The problem is, that they can loose the weapon in a fight, if they get beaten down. And back in camp they do not get a new weapon. Check all Bastards after each fight and reload if a weapon is missing. Currently the only workaround.

couldn't convince them to stay and fight, so I had to do it all alone. turns out, riding around and whacking them with a sword is really OP ^^

I know this is old, but for anyone reading it. Played it several times from save prior and each time they all get killed. I convinced Sir Kuno, to stay.
My level is 19 and all stats and skills very high.
3rd attempt at the morning of the day.
I added a potion to their cauldron Bivoj's Rage Potion
Increases Strength and invokes blood frenzy. During combat, this increases damage by 50%.
and Buck's Blood Potion
A Stamina potion to increase endurance. Stamina is increased by 50% for ten minutes.
Then at the battle I instead went directly for Lord Zoul and took him out saving the band of bastards team. The thing is once you go tell Ragzig the results and get paid you go back to the camp its still there for a couple of days no one talks talks to Henry. What the purpose of that I have no idea but if you continue on with some main quests you'll see a message that if you continue Can Abort some quests in progress.
After 3 days there is no trace of the camp.
