there is more unavoidable combat in this one, so yeah I would say that sounds about right.
in the main game like 80% are about other things, not combat and even from the remaining 20% there is avoidable combat trough other tactics like stealh, speech ect.
KCD isn't about combat really. it's something to avoid usually but there are of course times with no other option.
depending on the players personality there can be a lot more combat. I have watched some streamers fighting a lot more than I do. at some point (better character skills / perks / gear) the combat isn't that much of a challenge anyways, even on HC with all neg. perks active.
I'm starting a new playthrough, how far along should you be before jumping into the BoB quest? I want to enjoy the fights but not feel too OP.
+ There is some cool new gear you can pickup!
The battles in this dlc is like the Robber Baron quest, but cooler imo
@jasta85 think about 4 Hours to complete. I did it after the final Main Story Battle. used my savegame with every quests already completed but it's on "Hardcore whith all negative perks active" so no compass, map location, fast travel and all the debuffs but with my well equiped and experienced Henry. rolled back after the final DLC battle because I had to complete a sidequest (with a Ring involved) first to complete everything.
I did the exact same thing, went back to Kuno and he read me the riot act for being so stupid! When I went back to the BoB camp after reporting to Sir Radzig, I had to initiate the 2nd patrol. (There don't seem to be any girls left whichever choice you make about when to attack.) I think the number of possible scenarios makes play time variable as well, from really brief, to quite a bit longer. I give the DLC a big 'YAY!' - but also see the pinned BoB thread for more opinions.
if you keep them alive it would have been nice to have a “radiant” like quest where you could ride out with them to attack the bandit camps around the map already there with regularly respawning bandits.
I have 330,000 groschen. It would be nice to have something to spend it on. Maybe you could convince one of them to join you by hiring them and have a companion/bodyguard
All in all, the DLC is certainly worth the asking price, but it really left me wanting more.
