Tip for best settings for GTX 1060
I did a lot of experimenting with different video settings in order to reach stable 60 fps and keep as best visuals as possible, so i thought i would share with you what i found. With this setting you should be able to keep 60+fps all the time during day and decent 45-50fps in the most stressed situations during night with NPCs and torches around. Tested with 1.6 version and with 1080p resolution.

Set global settings to HIGH.
Change objects, lightning, shaders and shadows to medium.
Zurn off Motion Blur if you want - no impact on fps.
Antialiasing - i prefer SMAA 1x as TX1x and TX2x blurs image during movement.
Set window mode to fullscreen. Game keeps switching to bordeless after alt+tab, which costs a lot of fps.
You can set textures to ultra high if you have 6gb VRAM version of the card.

i have mine on ultra high with aa off, 40-60 fps, which is fine for me. 60fps is not a must in a game like this. I forgot to mention i have the 6gb version yes, sorry.

But this only works with a good CPU. This game is all about CPU single core clock speed. (cryengine) It now runs very good on my ryzon 7 3800X. But i ran like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on my fx 8300 with 1050 ti (the 4gb version) and it definitely was not the GPU because this setup gave me constant 50 FPS in witcher on ultra (2K)
