I saw a stream (what the heretic called the River Jordan), and in the book he mentioned two bridges and the devil tried to tempt him to go over the right one (which is broken) but he saw through the devil's deceit and took the left one (the left one isn't broken).
There is a dirt path beyond these two bridges, and it DOES lead in to a wooded area. But he says that after crossing the river he saw men of straw (which I assume to be strawmen in a field to keep birds from pecking the crop seeds). I see no men of straw. And on the way to this river with the two bridges I saw no house where he could have filled his belly, nor any wailing widows.
I did see three beehives sticking out of the ground, which MAYBE are the teeth of the devil he was talking about (or however he describes it).
Just tell me - am I correct in going east past the church, and is the first crossroads (the one right outside of town if you go east from the church) the crossroads he is speaking about in the book?
Hmm, I was going south-east. That's the only place that has a damn "river" (it's more like a tiny tiny stream).
start at inn go past church toward the shrine/ cross then past the beehives, head towards the ruins along the road. past them you find the fishing camp. continue along the shore to the weeping willows continue to the bridges cross the bridge see follow past the strawmen till you find a clearing in the woods.
The men of straw are the drying racks for hay.
The beehives are the army led by the queen -
The behemoth's teeth are the ruins.
The fishing spot and weeping widow are at the lakeside, following the path further takes you to a bridge over a stream.
If you turn back at this bridge you will see there are two of them, the right one is broken, and you should take the left one (the one you just crossed over).
Pass the haystacks 'guarding' the path and enter the Waldensian congregation.
Bandits. No strawmen of course. I finally was like, "Look, Jim, straw is out in that dang field behind me. Look for straw "men" "guarding" woods."
It was challenging.
The ending, unfortunately, to me, doesn't make any sense except that Henry has a specific mission.
One of my playthroughs I'm going to murder the Vicar. Hanush can keep his wack reward. Because ♥♥♥♥ that lame ass excuse for a Christian.
