Miracles While You Wait quest problem - no body in church

I am stuck with this quest because I have a task marked in the log as (optional) to bring Loukota’s burial shroud to the charlatan in Sasau. Unfortunately the body is no longer in the church (it was but I decided to come back later, apparently too late). So I thought he might have been buried and tried to look for him in the nearby cementary but no grave is available for digging even though I have a shovel with me (the only two I found I had digged up before this quest started). I tried to close the quest by going to charlatan and telling him but there is no dialogue option about the shroud.
Anyone could help me to understand where to look for Loukota’s shroud ? OR how to close this quest even failing to bring the shroud ? It seems strange as the task is marked as “optional” so it might be understood as not necessary to bring the shroud in order to finish the quest but unfortunately I do not know to proceed. I also tried to make the shroud appear in my inventory through cheat console but it does not help - quest will not get updated and there are no quest-referring dialogue options with charlatan :(

YEP..you just "BLEW" that sidequest, its gone...
HOPEFULLY you made a game save before it (or slept?) and you can try it again?

yes, I suppose so , it's just one problem. The other problem is I have this quest "hanging" in my log as if it was possible to finish it somehow but the game does not offer any clue how to do that. Similar thing happend to me with the sick people from Skaltiz in the Monastery - I came too late with help and they all died but the game offered a possibility to close the quest and remove it from my log - I just went to Johanka and told I cannot help and the quest was closed with fail and disappeared from the log. I do not have the same possibility in case of "Miracles While You Wait". I do not want go back to the point when it was possible to finish the quest sucessfully because I already progressed a lot.

IF you get "PISSED" about not figuring out a quest, theres always "YOU TUBE" videos...(by the dozen) that too many people are making as a Side Venture money maker(yep.they get paid for subscriptions/likes from Youtube advertisers) and its free to view the Videos..BUT..the may "GAME SPOIL" it for ya..so Use this as a last resort maybe?

BTW...you have "SEVEN" Game Saves in Total...so why NOT start up another New KCD Game...and try DIffering Options (light armor/heavy armor/ leather shoes/etc) instead of getting frustrated on the same story line? Maybe playing it Differently with differing OUTFITS (hint hint hint) could make you RUN faster or be more "NIMBLE(hint hint hint) in a fight? Your choice really..it is a Role Playing Game with SEVEN Game save you can LOAD anytime to play the (sometimes) frustrating game a different way (HINT HINT HINT HINT, NUDGE NUDGE (smack on the back of the Head) POKE POKE!) (lol)

I do this whenever I am stuck with something and I search through similar threads on different forums before I ask question like this. Unfortunately I did not find any answers. I also posted on official KDC forum with no help so far. I do know I failed and cannot make up for it but the quest hanging in my log is not my fault as the game should offer an option to close it with sucess or fail result. :) Thank for help anyway.

I rarealy play games twice, even very good games. The problem is I have a very chaotic playstyle and like jumping from quest to quest if I have a problem which seems hard solve I choose to wait and for example improve my skills for fighting/ pickpoketing etc. Then I go back. Sometimes its' too late.

with the CHAOTIV playstyle I think you would love Mutiple Saves maybe? Could be exploring quests Individually with SEVEN possible saves for each quest..may be the way for ya, to stop running outta time between time sensitive quests (HINT HINT HINT.) psst..Im trying real hard to POINT ya in the right direction here so you got more TIME to figure things out...without giving a quest/storline away(sigh) (smacking myself onthe back of the head now here (lol)
