KCD.LOG?

I made a ticket and they are asking for the kcd.log, I cannot find it for the life of me. I am using windows 10.

wherever you downloaded the game to. where steam stores the game files

right click on game in your library, properties, local files, browse local files

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\kcd.log
This is USUALLY the location on any PC where the files are located on any PC.. use the FILE explorer and just "COPY/PASTE" what i typed above into the search bar. and press enter on your PC..the LOG should "Pop Up"
When you want to COPY the file to email...just follow the same LINK without kcd.log at the end..it should look like this on your explorer search bar
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\
then CHOOSE kcd.log and copy it for emailing

You may also want to include the Launcher.log file in you email to KCD while your at it?

I don't see it, i only see system.cfg, and some files

reply to them and tell them which folders and files are there. should help - crashing before log file written. cant be too many reasons.

you followed the LINK i provided?
LOOK in the LOG BACKUP files...and send the latest one to em...It could be the latest "SAVE" file for you game has somehow been deleted? (yup..rare but happens)

You can make a copy of the latest LOG file (dated) and rename it on your Desktop to kcd.log Place this FILE into the Folder my LINK opened at in the same column of files the .cfg file is at OR if you have not done the simplified way of FIXING lost/currupted/missing files by "VERIFYING" yet...I ll put those Instructions below for ya...

ANY KIND of Steam game "Verify" it to insure it is not missing files as Follows;
Verify the game...it MAY HAVE downloaded In-correctly and is Missing files
(words written below in ( Brackets) mean "Do this action",)
THIS is part of Steam Function to FIX all non functioning games;
go to the game Library in STEAM
Select
Kingdomcome; Deliverance
(right click on it)
OPEN
Local Files
(scroll down to find)
VERIFY,
(click on it and let it run)
DONE!
99.9% chance in my mind that the game will start/run after this
Suggest to CLOSE steam after if Verifies all files
then restart steam and the KCD game

when I follow the link, it doesn't work, but when I go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance

I see "system.cfg" "whdlversions" and the folders named "bin" "data" "engine" and "localization" But there is no kcd.log, I have checked through every folder that I know that is connected to the game itself. Verify doesn't fix it either sadly, tried it like 5 times, reinstalled it 5 times.

But no kcd.log

so your saying you have no log files .
to include the launcher log? if so , it seem your game isn't launching to begin with.

run steam with admin privileges works for some people
check antivirus log - might be blocking steam/game.

Chesirm is Correct and an Anti-virus Program on you PC may be BLOCKING the Installations of this game....(WINDOWS FIREWALL)
Here's where the FiREWALL is located in case your not sure;
Windows/Settings/Update&Security/Windows Security/Firewall and Network Protection/Allow an APP through a Firewall.
Top right corner above list of apps look for and click on "Change Settings"...
scroll to and locate (ALL) "kingdom come" and click on both "Private and Public" check boxes
go to Bottom and click on OK...if you did it RIGHT the Window should auto close.
(remember..this is a single player game...so the chance of a Viral attack from other players is NILL in KCD, so having the FIREWALL down for this game should not pose a risk,but may actuall Improve the performce of the game.
ITake step 1 if no changes noticed, proceed to step 2.
(1) Verify the game again..the FIREWALL is down now..the files should "LOAD"..
Start KCD...if its still "Failing" proceed to step 2
(2)Re-install thru "STEAM" Uninstall/Install as those FILEs are neccesary to run the game and should be Inside the KCD folder.
Then....Reboot your PC (this will SET the reloaded game files onto the PC registry)
WHEW....lotta work right?
Sorry...but Im an Old Man using basic stuff here..and see no shortcuts when Weird ♥♥♥♥ happens..its a back to Basic thing... TOUCH all the Bases in this Ball Game

OK...I put a follow UP instructions on your POST. If this NEXT Info dont work..Im done...outta Ideas...as it a "Back to Basic" formula that has NEVER failed me yet..YEAH...it LONG and tedious...but if you DO this ONCE..it will Stick with you forever and apply to most anything on a PC
