Henry never needs to interact with Hans Capon to complete the main quest line.
However, after my first main quest completion, i couldn't get the final "ride-off-into-the-sunset" cutscene since Hans now wanted to go through all his sidequests/DLC - which is rather stupid.
On a following playthrough, i simply did his sidequests whenever it seemed appropriate - there are 3 - Bath House, Robber Baron, and Tournament.
And beating Zdena at dice is just an odds thing - so i have reloaded here a couple times - and winning at dice also seems to have a lot to do with your Agility.
