Keep hitting my own dog in combat!

Much like in real life my dog seems to be always in the way! Sometimes when i go to hit an enemy my dog stops me from moving forward and i end up hitting the dog instead. Then he runs of crying... Please tell me it gets better?

Nope. Be prepared to hit your dog more than the enemy. He deserves it for getting in the way.

You're supposed to direct your dog to avoid it getting in the way. Tell Mutt to sic the enemy and when he has the enemy pinned down attack. In larger battles start with the pressure fighter (the best armed and most aggressive) with this tactic and the battle will be much easier.

Anyway, my problem with Mutt is that sometimes he rushes into combat when I'm out sniping the enemy. lol

It also helps to aim your strikes better and avoid using wide slashes when Mutt or any other ally is nearby

Ahh i see a dlc that helps improve my aim lol! Nice solution but i feel you're avoiding the problem...

I am only on lvl 3 with the mutt so no skills yet. I'll see later on if it is worth keeping.
