Cleaning my sword
Are my only options really bathing with my swords or sharpening it with the blood still on it to clean it?

The stone wheel
Honing it yourself or pay the Blacksmith to sharpen it.

Hmmm someone can correct me on this but i'm fairly certain that the repair kits does not clean the sword.

Repair kits don't remove blood. This is particularly annoying when you want to get the blood off of a weapon that you can't put through a grinding wheel.

I use repair kits in combination with the wheel. I get things repaired to the mid-nineties (which gets the blood off swords and axes), and then finish them off with the repair kit.

I'd be deliriously happy if repair kits cleaned off blood, but that seems to be a fix the developers aren't going to make, for whatever reason.

Wasn't it common for anyone serious about swordfighting to carry some wadded cloth to wipe blood off? lol. Swords are actually pretty hard to maintain, they corrode if you look at them wrong, and human blood is quite salty.

Yeah, this is why it bothers me, you would never just carry a bloodsoaked sword around unless you are in combat or immediately afterwards. youd clean it as soon as possible. being unable to just use a bandage on the weapon or something is silly.

You can get it repaired at a blacksmith for next to nothing which removes the blood. Both Armoursmiths and Blacksmiths can repair weapons.
