Why does my weapon disappear?

I've lost several hours of game play because my equipped weapon keeps disappearing. I can't pinpoint when it happens but sometimes when I'm just exploring the world, I realize my weapon is gone. It has happened several times and it's infuriating so I just reload to an earlier save when I have the weapon. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm on the latest nVidia 398.82 but I think I figured it how it happens now. It seems that if you have a sword equipped when you go to train with Bernard, it automatically swaps out your currently equipped sword for a wooden one but ends up sending your equipped sword into another dimension, unable to be retrieved.

So if anyone else comes across this issue, unequip your weapon before you train with Sir Bernard in Rattay.

For anyone still experiencing this problem, like me, just cheat it in. I belive modding the game doesn't block achievements, idk about the in-game cheat console. The game still has gamebreaking bugs after 3 years, so don't beat yourselft up about it :)
P.S. You can find the item IDs on the fandom wiki, don't forget the -devmode lauch options for the console.

It might be that it's a bit cold. Try wearing a second pair of underwear.

Here's what happened for me, if it helps towards wtf is going on cuz now I'm just getting pissed.
Soul Slicer is my sword, Robber's was the cheap dummy.
First time noticing it training combos with Bernard, and Soul Slicer disappears from my inventory, leaving on Robber's.
Move Soul Slicer to horse. Train. Soul Slicer disappears from horse, but still have Robber's.
Move Soul Slicer to horse, manually equip Robber's (thinking maybe it was the last equipped weapon), train, lose both swords.
Move Soul Slicer to horse, move Hungarian sabre to inventory, equip Robber's. Train. Lose Soul Slicer and Hungarian Sabre, but still have Robber's.

By this point I wasn't going to try again, try moving it to the trunk then run all the way back to the training arena - and more towards just uninstalling.

Having this issue aswell googleing around like crazy found no fix. Soulslicer just disappears for me after tournament dosen't matter if i store it in a box or on horse or de-eqiup it, its just gone. Has someone found a fix?

I think.... Enemies have the ability to knock weapons out of your hand.
That's the only thing I can think of that is happening. Oh and I guess guards will confiscate stolen stuff from you.

As for my weapons just poof disappearing... I haven't experienced that. Though... I haven't really messed with the tourny either or keep track of all the random stuff I have... so that's probably why.

According to google... random stuff disappears as well when stuff is autoequipped in this game. idk... guess you can pretend that it got stolen... not like you don't steal stuff.

Currently the best weapon and i have and dont want to lose it, guess only thing to do is load previous save and dont do tourney FeelsBadMan
