I didn't catch onto this for a few days...until I started into the STEAM Properties...and WONDERED if it was an OLD PROBLEM dating back to before Win 3.1?
I was right!
So...after doing the Following, the PROBLEMS all went away...and ALL my game stopped "Freezing/Lagging/Crashing/etc"
Top Left corner of This Page
Click on Steam; Scroll to "Settings"
Open, "Web Browser"
Click on BOTH; "DELETE WEB BROWSER CACHE"/DELETE ALL BROWSER COOKIES"
Close STEAM (You may want to REBOOT you PC, but its not really Neccesary)
OPEN Steam...the Problem should be solved.
What happens is the PC's Anti-Virus does not Recognise STEAM's Digital Security Certificate as it Out of Date....and BLOCK the Programs on STEAM from Running properly
SO...I posted the "FIX" above and Sent it to STEAM POSTS asking em to look into this or PIN it for others to look at as a Solution.
You may want to CHECK the firewall settings for STEAM also..as it needs to PASS THRU em to work properly?(may be the reason also)...
Open, "Web Browser""
And what to do if I don't have option "Web Browser"? It's not that I have exactly this problem but it happened once when I choose "wrong" option in "A Friend In Need..." quest.
How to Install the Steam Desktop App
Go to the Steam Website.
On the upper right-hand corner of the screen, click on Install Steam.
You will be redirected to Steam's about page. Click on the Install Steam button on the main screen.
After installation, open the Steam app on your PC.
