How will I know when I have enough flowers for “horsenip” perk?

Will I see a badge, down next to my stamina bar? Will I get a brief on screen notification, like when the Burgher perk is activated? Or will passersby comment on the smell?

You will receive a message a new Perk is available. Then check your perks

I did choose that perk after pulling up a million plants at the request of Brother Nicodemus. But how do I know when it gets activated?

I’ll see a transitory message in the middle of the screen?

It takes 30 for the perk for you and the one for the horse

There's a tab with all your buffs somewhere in the character menus.
There are also buff slots just above character paper doll but they show only recent effects.
Only a number of most 'contextual' buffs ever appear on gameplay screen as notifications and badges near health bar

I’m supposed to pack the saddle bag with 30 fragrant plants. Which plants are fragrant? Anything with a flower? What about mint?

Any kind of herb you can pick off the ground, doesn't matter what kind or if you mix them

I picked a bit of everything then when the perk was available I see an icon activated.

Chamomile
Dandelion
Marigold
Thistle
Wormwood
Flower Power is a Herbalism Perk in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. If you've got enough fragrant herbs in your inventory, you get a +2 Charisma bonus.
Only flowers work, and as such, plants like the Fly agaric will not activate the effect.

I just put 30 dandelions into my saddlebag and confirmed it raised Pebble’s courage 2 points. That’s for sure, because I double checked my removing the dandelions and then placing them back into the saddlebag. There was not any kind of badge or icon or notification that the “horsenip” perk was activated by the presence of the dandelions.

So, the flowers raise the horse’s courage 2 points but there’s no notification the perk has been activated. Not on mine anyway.
