There are also other bits, such as the main missions where timing may or may not be in effect. Really, I want the symbol there so that I don't try to balance various missions against each other.
Does the quest from Lady Stephanie fail in a couple weeks? Dunno. What about the smith in Samopesh, who said the tournament begins tomorrow? Again, who knows? Do the girls in Uzhit only arrive at the appointed place once, or do they come back every day?...
Ect. I want to manage my real-world time, but that requires knowing that the timed quests are going to require special attention.
What quests in the main quests? I can agree that its focus is hard on keeping the flow and not giving you many options to leave it, but when it comes to for example finding Recky it is timed if you do not want him to die. However you always got the options to leave it. Doing the recon and finding the camp is not timed.
"Does the quest from Lady Stephanie fail in a couple weeks?"
- Why do you ask for timed quests to be marked when you do not even know what the timed quests are? You have not even picked the easy one which is "in Gods hands". No this quests is not timed. And so is not the tournament unless you want to miss it and wait for the next one, it isn't going to wait a week for you. If you think the quests are timed do not accept or start quests until you are ready to do them.
"Ect. I want to manage my real-world time, but that requires knowing that the timed quests are going to require special attention."
- That is easy to do if you think a little and use your head. What you want is handholding so you do not have to think. I like this game because it gives options for someone that is a little clever to figure out things without having them pointed out to you. Managing your real time does not mean you need to manage the in-game time. There is enough logs and quest journals for you to pick a quest right back up if you want to. I do not buy this excuse. There is no requirement for you or anyone that missions needs to be labled if they are timed or not so you can manage your real time. I have the ability to save and leave the game whenever I want and I work a 8 (+1 hour lunch) job. If I can do it so can you.
...As if you know a damn thing about me. Frankly, you and the other defenders of the game are jerks, because you keep saying that people who don't suck the @&!) of the game are wrong and stupid.
La-Mulana. Thief. Tower of the Sorceror. Star Trek: 25th Anniversary. Dwarf Fortress. Lufia II. Classic DOOM. Triple-routed Undertale. Super Mario World's special stages all completed. And many, many, more games are part of my personal history.
My problem with game design isn't about difficulty, it is with frustration. Bad controls, make-work activities, unclear rules. Basically, stuff that gets in the way of a game being fun. I honestly can't defend the bad aspects of a game, because they undermine the stuff that makes a game worth playing.
like"I better hurry" etc
It fit better.
That is definitely better for hardcore roleplayers. I think having both the logo and this would be good - the logo works best for image-based folk or those in a hurry, while the text is also handy for those who more easily identify with text or like reading the entries.
