The silent gambler and his cursed dice
In some tavern, the one Sassau definitely, there is a silent gambler, no (English) audio when you talk with him, but you can place dice against him.

He has two special dice, the golden one and the Kingdom Come one.
If you pickpocket them, you can use them for about a day.
But at the end of the day the vanish from your inventory or chest.

That feels like a mysterious fiendish quest going to happen, but I fear it's just buggy...
Anyone else noticed this?

Hi, I'm noticing a lot of strange stuff with dice too, they just vanish from your inventory at some point. seems like the game doesn't want you to collect them..... why? no flippin' idea.

Yes I lost 2 demonic dice and then latterly 3 Odd dice from inventory.

Which kind of dice disappear?

Because Henry stole other dice, especially from the DLC and he kept all those.
But those specific to that mysertious silent gambler seem to be cursed and disappear from his inventory. And no, Henry is too charismatic to be searched by guards - they haven't been confiscated...

I lost a Lu and a Fer die then I lost 3 x Odd Dice, so it would seem all dice or all looted dice disappear.

Peciuliar, for my Henry only some stolen dice disappear. I thought it was connected to the silent gambler.
If you are in the area of local taverns (I saw him at the Sassau Inn and in Uzhitz) and notice a slightly out of place townsman playing dice, try to pickpocket his dices and check when/if they disappear.

I have a silent gambler in Uzhitz. When I pickpocket his dice they disappear from any save I make after sleeping. I ended up giving the dice to myself through the console. I pickpocketed the Ledetchko player beforehand (who was not silent) and had no issues.

Perhaps unrelated, apologies for derail, but it seems to me the game cheats at dice at times, something is nefariously coded in there at least for some AI characters.

Briefly, in one turn AI had a score of almost 3000 with one die left, but rather than pass and bank that score, it rolled that one die and of course 'got lucky' yet again for another round. I lost over and over with that AI roller, no chance to win, barely a chance to touch my dice.

Yup, if you click fast enough you can play again and again and again.
I almost find it sad that the game capped the money at silly 100 Groschen...

I can't really tell, while it felt like the odds were stacked against Henry in the beginning, once Henry was set up with 2 blue devil dice, two lucky dice and two lucky playing dice, including the ability based perk to throw dice better no one stood a chance and he won in one or two streaks.

Some dice have negative impact on Henry's numbers, maybe it's that.

Agree, I have thousands of groschen and nothing to do with it, LOL...

It's not my dice rolling that is the problem (and the bad dice are identified as such, no?). It seems to me some AI beat me in one or two turns, literally.
