The two I found were rather easy. They're slow, so I just run and slash them with a sword.
Anyways, I gave up looking for them as I said, came across another by chance, for a grand total of two boars. None of which dropped hides.
Luckily, cumans in the bandit camp carry boar hides for some reason, so I was able to finish both the boar meat and boar hides delivery quests.
Now I never have to look for a freaking boar again. Good riddance!

Well, I spoke too soon. I just got another quest for boar meat from the Sasau butcher. I'm sure this means I won't see another boar ever again.
If you develop your reading skill, you'll eventually be able to take the 'cartographer' perk, which will reveal the entire map, along with all specific hunting spots.
