SLI support?
A local retailer near me has a very deep discounted Strix 1070, the card I'm currently running.

I've noticed without support most games drop in FPS while running SLI.
I was wondering, would I actually get a performance boost running this game with SLI?

I don't know about KCD. But SLI is a waste of time, IMO. As you stated on your own, most games don't support it and it runs bad anyway.

Sure you may get a few games that make use of it. I personally don't think it's worth the money.

It's always been more for aficiandos looking to put more into their rig. But it's never really taken off. It's just expensive and most developers don't bother coding for a very small percentage of the population the uses multi-GPU setups.

orly? I didn't even know that. Wow, yeah. Definitely don't bother.
2 way SLI is still under support, only 3 and 4 way SLI got canned. I decided it's worth rolling the dice on SLI.

At the very least I can use AA SLI support or run my second GPU as a dedicated physics card.

Where I'm at is, either upgrade my single GPU at $850-$1200 CAD before tax. Or get a second GPU on clearance for $455 CAD. A high latency bridge connection is another $95 CAD. So I'm saving at least $300.

The only real problem seems without proper SLI support I need to benchmark each game and play with settings till I can actually get a performance boost. Otherwise unsupported SLI can decrease performance.

With 4 ways to utilize the second card I've decided it's worth saving a minimum $300 to play around with each game. At least you can set profiles that work for specific games. So once a proper setting is found you can save it and forget about it.

Proper SLI support would be great though.

Raising this thread from the dead! I was thinking of buying this game and was curious about SLI. But yeah, 2 card SLI is still very much alive. I've been running two GTX 770s now for 5 yrs. You will get performance increase across the board, it doesn't require special coding by the developers. I've played dozens of games and the only game I recall having to disable SLI was for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Point being, if you see a good deal for your existing card, go for it! You will see a nice boost in performance. Bear in mind it doesnt just double the performance. It roughly equals to about a third of the total performance of the card. For example, my twin 770s equal to about single 1060 card or something like that, I forget.
