Ginger in a pickle bug?

I spoke to the final charcoal burners and one of them told me he was in an abandoned cottage somewhere, but I've got no quest markers and the only thing my quest says is 'Find ginger'.

its northeast of their camp, theres a road that leads up a hill and the cottage should be easy to spot

Yea there was nothing, I had to find it myself on online guides.

The first guy who tells you that "ginger is in a cottage and that some people are providing him supplies" doesnt give you the map marker, you have to kill the bandits who are out to kill ginger for the charcoal burner foreman to give you exact instructions to get to the cottage, then you get the map marker
You just skipped a part of the quest dude, come on

Yup - Mr Snitchy is really just there to confirm you finally found the right camp more than anything else.

You have to follow up on his information to get anything more specific.
