Sorry to be off-topic but this was just hard to read.
On topic: Henry starts out completely illiterate and it is all a jumbled mess. Once he's learned how to read he can begin to learn from just from reading. Since most books only require time it's a good idea to set a few days aside and to buy a handful of books to read and train your reading level. It's kinda like all of Henry's other skills. He starts off incompetent and clumsy but by training it you can potientally master it.
i noticed that the random jumbling becomes less frequent as the reading skill improves. i guess if you get the skill high enough it will go away altogether. or become infrequent enough to not notice
You don't need 12 years of training to learn to read. I could read my native language at age 4 before I had any proper education. It depends on genes and I guess it's easier for younger people, but speed learning ain't anything too unrealistic.
This isn't the case as Henry becomes more literate.
Not dyslexia, but the Devs trying to replicate the experience for the players I'd guess.
