Stolen special dice disappear if I reload the game?

I was searching for this and I didn't find any results...

I pick pocketed two special dice off a guy and then continued to play for a while. Then I saved and exited and came back a bit later to find the dice gone. I grabbed an apple off the guy while I was at it and it is still in my inventory...just no dice. I releaded the schnapps save from right after I pick pocketed the dice and they are still gone. So it seems the dice disappear when I load the game.

Is this a known bug? Any work arounds? They were still flagged as stolen on the save games...I am going to try and get them again and see if I it happens with the stolen flag timed out.

Holy necrothread I know but just want to say this has been happening to me as well. I eventually threw up my hands and gave myself the items by launching the game in devmode (add "-devmode" to the launch options) and using the wh_cheat_addItem command in the console.

Maybe it is a necro, but I lost my two demon dice from my inventory for no apparent reason and would have started a thread anyway.
Now I have the answer before I ask the question :)

Now I've lost my Odd Dice I looted from the gambler in Sasau.

All the dice i stole during the DLC just vanished for no reason. I have to literally go back to just after I stole them for them to show up when I 100‰ had them still in much more recent saves. This game is such a tedious ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at times.

Oh heh, I thought I commented all those years ago, but maybe it was on another thread. I found a work around for this...sell the dice to the millers and then buy them back. With out the stolen flag they will persist through save loads.
