Horse maintenance
Taking care of a horse is a lot of work.

They need to be brushed down and fed, and you don't leave them standing around all night with a saddle and saddlebags on their back. They're very delicate animals (just big).

I hope that a future DLC makes the care of horses a little more realistic (or at least more involved).

When he's given Pebbles, Hans is admonished to take good care of him.

As the game stands, I'm not sure that's possible.

I know if your horse gets hit, you can take the stuff off and repair it with the respective repair kits.

No grooming the horses yet, but there isn't exactly stable boys either or a place to take your horse when you arrive in a city/town to do it for you or kits to do it yourself. You know the devs are aware, a hoofpick is a murder weapon.

That sounds like a dlc option, particularly for hardcore mode

As far I'm aware they had to scrap their further development of horses (and companion dogs) due to time constraint, which is why horse armours are unfinished in the game such as there's only one head armour and no body armours.

I'm not sure if they're going to revisit these projects and do anything about it but I would most definitely love some immersive horse maintenance.
So far I tend to do these things manually such as taking off my horse's gears and stable him before nighttime, feed him apples and veggies, et cetera as the game can be very immersive as it is but still, it's not exactly the same thing.

I would also like to see some cavalry features, I play as an archer on horse and cumans are mostly known for their expertise in cavalry, but we don't see any cumans on horses apart from the Skalitz raid.

It would be utmost silly if they decide to neglect the horses considering their very ironic studio name.

I'm sure spending hours doing routine, mundane maintenance is exactly what gamers are looking for in their games...

You mean make it more tedious. Do you understand that this is a game and supposed to be entertaining and fun? What you going to ask for next, doing the dishes after you eat a meal?

as an option, why not?

I feel like some people are getting unnecessarily aggressive here.
There are countless of games out there that bypasses any simulation of realism, you're very welcome to resort to these games instead.

They already made honing blades on grindstones very immersive and simulating, as well as brewing potions on alchemy benches, let alone there's hygiene and hunger maintenance involved.
This game is simply different with the addition of intrusive simulation of various things.

I enjoy this game because of its roleplayability and immersion, I appreciate the details they've put in the game so far and I'd love to see more of that.

Sure as an "option" together with more streamlined/automated features. I personally dont want this game to turn into one of those "need to hunt and maintain and cook" sometimes 50% or more of the time i spend in the game. Some survival games come into mind, where you have to spend so much time doing this, you can barely play or explore the game, wich for all I know could be extremely short, but artificially prolonged from the mechanic of having to eat EVERY 10 minutes
