and ye, it was nerfed, for ppl like u is there save and exit
recipe is as always in book at alchemy table
u can make tons of them for free right after prologue
or u can use some cheat mod for savescumming.. but why, when u can literally drown in Saviour Schnaps right at begining?
Did they really nerf the save system?
Yep, save & exit thing is ok, but they also reduced the alco % of saving potions from 20 to 7, making it possible to overuse them without drawbacks, and increased the amount of potions found in the world
I don't mind the challange of KCD, but I need to be able to quit on a few minutes notice sometimes. And since those times don't announce themselves in advance, this means I need game to be quittable within a few minutes all the time.
added save on exit, nerfed alcoholic backlash, and u find Saviour Schnaps just everywhere..
kinda sad :/
Sure it may be exploited if so inclined, but some people playing games are adults and have real lives that may require them to exit in a hurry. Kiddies and some adults don't...
Noone may dare to criticize anything about this game lol..
Why, I just criticized it myself for nerfed save mechanics
But when sleeping in a 'sleep and save' bed (of which there are ~101 locations (some with multiple beds) spread over the 4x4km map) once per day gives a maximum time between saves of ~60 minutes if you sleep 16 hrs awake, 8 hrs sleep. An average time since the last save is then less than 30 minutes, and you can further break down the 'interval' by drinking small numbers of Saviour Schnapps, at any time other than when engaged in dialogue, or actively in close combat (uncrossed swords is okay).
So to have 2 hours lost, is a user error, not a problem with the game. The user didn't bother using an appropriate bed when resting, and didn't compensate for not saving while sleeping by using a Saviour Schnapps together with an ordinary bed, or in lieu of sleep with energy providing foods. He also failed to recognise that pickpocketing and thievery are inherently risky - didn't take a Saviour Schnapps before hand to secure the game state.... and then refused to just go along with the failed outcome... all of this is a user problem, and not one with the tools the user is provided.
