Did I Lose All My Items On Olena
The horse you steal from the intro. I killed all the cumans on it then put all their armour stored all their armour and weapons on it. So have I lost them all?

I just got to the point where you need to bury your parents in Skalitz, find a horse, talk to Robard and get out of the castle.

Yeah, I don't know how you ever get that horse back. I never have.

Once you get to Talmberg, you lose access to the horses inventory. Once you get to Rovna, you lose the horse altogether.

I learned that the hard way :( After spending an hour killing the Cumans using my the horse :(

Thank the lord for console commands.

Good to know - i've considered trying to kill all the Cumans in Skalitz, but never succeeded in the few attempts i made. There didn't seem to be a benefit, and now i see that there's a problem with that idead (becuz i'm a hoarder).

I do know that the Trunk in the main living area of Henry's Skalitz Home does continue to exist in Skalitz - i have tested it maintaining contents as far as the Return to Skalitz to bury parents, but i haven't tested it's content retention throughout the game. Might be worth another walkthrough.

Although, i'm not sure that would help at all with killing the Cumans once you've fled to the farmhouse to get the horse... But maybe now i will simply turn around and fight instead of "Run" :)

Oh if your a hoarder you can knock out all of Skalitz during the prolouge and rock everyone and their house blind. Leave it in the chest and then come back after you get sent to Rattay and ferry it back and forth using your horse or just walk the whole way while over encombured as they patched it ages ago where you cant be over weight limit and ride a horse.

You can farm as many Cuman during the start as you want they spawn infinitely if you go to the right area. By the end you should have 110,000 of stolen goods and another 10ishk from clearing the small bandit camp and its treasure chest. And how ever thousand you want from Cuman farming. It also allows you to get your strength and herb skills up by a fair by picking all the plants and farming the Cumans. Your Sneak goes up alot too by sneaking around the village and knocking everyone unconscious.

The money is base value after Merchants expect between a quarter and half the mentioned amounts of gold.

Leave everything possible in Skalitz trunk. When bury parents retrieve everything beforte going to to get them. After digging the grave. You'll wake up at the mill with everything in that trunk.

Either I'm a dunce or more stuff was patched out of the game since the video was made. You can still get a good start with a lot of coin when it's all said and done though.

I know a solution to this problem. As we know it is impossible to have olena as companion again but, the items remain in the inventory of the horse. So the key is to kill olena in someway, wich at this point of the game i found tricky cause it runs. You need to bug the horse somewhere to avoid it moving preferibly out of the talmberg walls. I used the house uphill, a npc called black lukesh lives there.

It has some buildings near its house, just use the barn. It has a lot of stuff in the ground and it is easy to stuck the horse there. Then kill it. Given your current location is impossible for the guards to spot you, because obviously you need to scape the castle o you can just disguise.

In my run i did this, then kill the npc to be able to use his chest. Well this is not actually necessary and i noticed it after. After this step you just leave everything and go to skalitz. When you reappear at rattay you just have to go back talmberg to find your things.

As i said is not even necessary to kill the npc because when i came back i found the corpse of the horse. This shows that you can just kill the horse, leave it in the barn or somewhere and put the items inside.

if you share the play style of a kleptomaniac hoarder and have moved saddles and gear onto your temporary horse Olena, you can mount it with X, park near the door of the shed you slept in and kill it with one or two arrows, then use the NPC to store stuff like rotten food or below a value of 50 groschen and put the valuables into a trunk behind next door, close it behind you to not get caught, then pick it up dressed as a overemcumbered guard later after robbing them blind.

For those who still look for an answer, time to necro this post, i got myself a lot of armor by putting enough on the horse bags until i was barelt able to ride, rode the horse and while still riding, opened inventory and send all back to myself, and ended up riding while at max encumbrance, Only limit is how much you can stuff in the horse bags.

I did the same thing, killed all the Cumans, put all the loot on Olena, then lost it all. So I reloaded my save then moved everything from Olena to my own inventory before I arrived at Talmberg.

The question you appear to be trying to answer came up during the post discussion and was not related to the OP, so why necro ??? OP declared "best answer" - move on.

Horse carry weight limit includes Herny's total weight (when mounted) + Horse's total inventory weight, so what you describe makes sense.
