Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

İstatistiklere Bak:
compass is not turned off in hardcore a Differnt system should be used in hardcore for the compass.
just curies why the compass is turned off, can we buy compass in game to use?

after all they had compass became widely used in the 1300s in medeivil eurp so wasnt sure if something we could buy in game or not sense its item that was used in real life back then speacily sense game is set in the early 1500s

what is even dumber with the UI in hardcore is that the compass is still there, it shows you waypoints and map shows you where to go.

all hardcore does is remove the NWSE from the compass but does not remove any of the funcations of the compass or map handholding.

what they should do really is remove the UI functions of the MAP and the compass and then add a in came compass that you can buy and have maps that you can buy that may or may not be fully accuart.

that be more realatics to the times, plus most people did not know how to read let alone be able to draw or make a map or even know how to read a map which is main reason why compass was used and more commonly found then maps where.

aslo when you start game henry cant read so not sure how he be ablet o read a map sense he does not know how to.

-edited some spelling issues reworded what was being implied by the topic becuase it seems people dont know anything about game or just wanted to troll topic are making claims that the compass and UI is turned off in hardcore which is not true nore is waypoint system by just repeating that they do not want GPS in the game which makes no sense and has nothing to do with the subject in frist place.

All they did was mask the NWSE on it nothing elese from easy mode is diffrent about it as for map all they did was hide your location preson shows you where you are all quest way points are still there and its still shows you holds your hand where to go in hardcore.

Devloper qoute here "North, South, East, and West will no longer be visible on the compass, so be sure to check the time of day and where the sun is located (rises in the East, sets in the West)." https://store.steampowered.com/news/posts/?appids=379430&enddate=1530026390

well, point is that the developer wants you to not use a compass in HC mode and wants you to use landmarks and the sun. They are even nice enough to remind the player that the sun rises in east and set in west

and that is why there will always be mods it seems.

they could just creat customizable options for people tailor game to there liking.

but if they wanted to go for histroical prescens then they should have a hand held compass that u can buy in game that cost monies and then remove the UI object markers that are in hardcore still and compass at top of the screen along with the swiss time ♥♥♥♥ that tells you true time in game and i would be able to ask wayfairs where I am - people in town what town I am in and I would be able to ask people what road to take to get some place.

also the moss would grow on the north side of the trees and you wouldnt get a map you would have to buy one.

but hay its a game so no reason if you getting a free map that shows u where to go and a compass that points u where u need to go why not just throw in the n s w e also i mean you already gave up on every thing elese trying to acomplish in hardcore.

but point is that it was harder to find a accuart map back then it was to find and buy a compass.

we can easily navigate on KCD without compass. Just look for the sky like in real life use the sun at day light and the north polar star at night. The night sky is a accurate line sky of Bohemia summer at 1436

nobody really carried around compasses.

thats not true - mearchants and sailors widly used compass by the 1400 - 1500

you should read previus comments that show that is not true before saying its not true.

there plenty of links and i even gave u name of a musem u can call that have them on display you even got the time period for game wrong.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance takes place in the early 15th century, not early 1400s
Henry is a local, he isn't a merchant and he knows the area. I do not carry around a compass so why should he? I do not have a compass because I know the area, so does he.
When navigating without a compass and waypoints is such a big problem then use normal mode. Having no compass is a HUGE improvement of the experience in the game world and it is quite easy to deal with out it, as every some hundered meters there is something which is also on the map. You normally even don't have to look at the sun, but it's helpful in the forrests sometimes. Moss growing on trees would also be nice, but I think the devs were not thinking about such a mode when they did create the game.

I think having no compass / minimaps would improve a lot of open wolrd games, even multiplayer titles. "Open world" still means today not hundred of squaremiles but just maybe 10 to 15, which is very tiny.

Correct you should know your way around.
And BTW the early 15th century IS the early1400s

I dont use a tool that is aviable at this time so why should any one elese that is the logic here?

I mean i keep compass in my car so why shouldnt every one elese who is a local ?
that goes both ways.

or better yet I dont use gps in my car so why would any one elese that knows area ?

by the way todays compass is a gps and majority of people who know there way around still carry a gps.

I would be sure it be same back then o wait historical accute that was case.

no one said they should implment compass and a mini map way they do now.

I siad they should have a compass that we can buy in store like they have in saveglands or other games that do not use in game UI compass those compass do not show way points so forth.

they look and act just like a magntice needle point compass of those times did - around device with needle that points north but not true north and they get effect by things around them.

if other game devlopers have already done this implmentation there no reason others cant.

o by the way they still have markers and a mini map in the game and they still have stupid ocmpass in game as in its still there in hardcore mode all they did for hardcore mode was
remove the NWSE from the UI Compass that is all

so what I am saying they should remove the UI compass and the MINI maps and the naviagtion from the game and give us a old style compass that was used during time that we can buy in the store to make it more real.

these isnt reason to have cpailty to buy something in a store that was common during time period.

gps isnt removed way point quest markers still there sorry

all they did was remove the NSWE i been playing hardcore all along - compass and everything including way point system is still there.

I can take screen shoot if you like of what the UI looks like and how it shows the GPS in game where to go.

but they should remove it along with the map and then make it so you get a handle held compass that you have to buy to be historicaly accaurt to the times and no one implyed that hand held compass that you buy would give you gps it give you what you have now already accesiable in the UI in hardcore but with less GPS in it.

the A to B to finnish quest is in hardcore in the quest log and shows up on the map and it shows up on the compass when you get close to it, devlopers even said they restored that to hardcore. - all they did was what i stated remove the NSWE from it.

devloper qoute - North, South, East, and West will no longer be visible on the compass, so be sure to check the time of day and where the sun is located (rises in the East, sets in the West)

Waypoints are shown on compass when you get close to them. "aka near the town."

Waypoints still show on map screen and point to point locations.

you guys sure got suckered on that hype train for something that really did not happen.

I dont think u know what your talking about i even have email form delopver and i asked and they said what i said is how it works.

I ill even post screen shoot. here for you.

my game UI looks exactly as discibed by the devlopers in that topic and is way its suppose to look and behaves way its suppose to.

and there are not patch notes saying that any thing else other then what i posted was changed for the UI in any othere patch.

yes waypoints do not appear if your not in same town or x distance near them but they do when u get closer

ehh im just reporting you as a troll cuz it seems u have no idea what you are talking about and also you havent even bothered to look at the discccion most of the stuff you implied was already talked about before anyways.

and all of everything has been said about compass and UI is illerveant becuase topic is about adding a 14th to 15th centry compass that you can buy in game that is not part of the UI and why it would be historicaly accuart to do so.

and topic subject has nothing to do with compass UI or a global gps system in thats in game in frist place.

I don't care what Bohemian village river sailors been doing in 1403, but in-game UI compass in hardcore mode shows objectives only when they're really close, so it's ok, no way to exploit it - you have to find the general area anyway. Occasionally there's simply no other way to understand where are you supposed to go or with whom to talk, as there's no clear description in the quest text or dialogues or NPCs don't have names or whatever - it's assumed that Henry just "knows" something - so I can see why UI works that way.

I find it more interesting to find directions using sun and stars.
