Poison Wine bug?
Trying to poison a bandit camp by poisoning the wine and food while they sleep.
They complain about it but don't die.

Using Bane poison. Any Idea why?

I think it takes a lot of time till the Bane poison kill them. I just was poisoned with it and it took a long time until it ended.

jup .... I poisend them at 4 am ingame, was afk hiding till 12 pm.
They were all dead :D

Probaply takes around 4-6 hours in game. Wonder if you can poison them, come back a day later and loot all the bodies.

For some reason I can interact with the wine and select the poison, but it does not add the poison to it... not sure what to do since it first happened at a camp I did not have the quest for yet, but for this one I do have the quest right now and yet it does not add the poison to it...

Edit: Tried putting the bane poison into the food and also dropped bane poisoned cheap wine into it, but it didn't have any effect after full 24 hours

Bane poison in food cauldron kills in a few seconds/minutes after the person has finished eating their meal… and doesn't count as "combat kill", if you're looking for the "Merciful" achievement. :-)

Don't skip time and/or sleep though. It might not work (and I'm about 100% sure that loading a save resets the poisoned state of the food to non-poisoned :-( )

Merciful is next to impossible, killed so many times after they gave up on accident, especially later in the game.

About poisoning the bandit camp, some are bugged I think, if it goes out of your inventory it does not work if you skp time. Have not tried out to just walk away, come back a few in game hours later (without skipping time / fast travel etc)

I'm pretty sure Merciful is doable : I have more than 100 hours in my current playthrough with only the one mandatory kill. It sure requires lots of fleeing, or dragging ennemies to city guards, or isolating them to patiently and carefully duel them until surrender, or stabbing them once for bloodloss, then sidestep/avoid their attacks until they bleed out, or poisoning them in their food…

It calls for a much, much longer playthrough !

so did you get the achievment yet after 100 hours? Iirc it said only kills in the main story count and there is that one single exception which you are allowed to kill.

I haven't finished my merciful playthrough yet.

I have the Merciful, suck it newbs, and I got it when playing hardcore mode, and along with Virgin achievement on top of that - you can even check it, same dates, haha.
No poisoning and other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like that is required, you just don't have to fight or kill anyone at all. It's not that hard

where is the fun in that?

Not sure what your idea of fun in videogames is, but it was an interesting challenge of finding unusual ways of solving quests (exactly what I like in RPGs) and roleplaying 'hippie Henry'. Definitely was worth it, and thanks to Warhorse for making it possible and stepping away from primitive monster-grinding tropes of modern hybrid action games like Skyrim Witcher and whatnot

Actually, I'm curious : how did you do the "Kill the bandits and cumans chiefs" quests as merciful without poisonning them ?
Sareseras Nov 4, 2018 @ 4:11am
I think simply pickpocketing the leaders spurs and handing those over would give you the option to do it, but have yet to try

you can't pickpocket spurs, think instead of bane poison you can use lullaby potion.
Alternatively you could just knock everyone out instead of killing them in their sleep.
