'Dead men tell no tales' quest?

How do I find out how the blacksmith's son died? Am I supposed to find the last person I fight in the tournament? Cannot see him anywhere.

I'm in the same boat. There has to be something more to this quest but I cant seem to find it. I beat Peter and I expected him to try and kill me or some clue would lead me futher into the quest but once you beat him it just ends.

I just found it, when you fast travel and see 'foe' right after you beat him, immediately press e and stop. That is peter, he will show up and uses a poisoned page sword.

That worked. Mind you, your horse has to path out the main road out the mill way and not the back road heading Neuhof way for him to trigger.

Not sure if this was suggested in the thread but the ambush only triggers for me if you mannually ride past the Rattay Mill towards the bridge, Peter has set up a rope that will dismount you as you ride past.

I tried fast travelling at all times of the day and that wasnt working so I tried that and it worked, hope that helps lads.

You are right, thanks man! I also tried fast travelling many times to no avail. It only triggers if I ride pass the Rattay mill manually, in my case.
I prefer this actually, since you can watch when you are unhorsed and ambushed by Peter.

I finnished the tournament, Peter attacked me near Theresa's house, killed him. Few hours later bumped onto blacksmith in Samopše, he told me about his son. I said it was Peter and he attacked me too, father's satisfied with that info, gives me money = Quest still active... Can't finish it, because the game's bugged.

RN i finished my second tournament and i'm waiting literally 13 minutes for loading after the match, and by the looks of it, it will never load... so bye bye last half hour of gameplay.

The more i play this game the worse it gets, biggest disappointment ever, i was so hyped for this game since 2014. but it's glitched beyond repair, so many annoying small things

had to find sword and give it to the blacksmith. then you can play all three tourns.

this worked for me. It's about 2-3 blocks north of the Rattey mill. I ended up bathing to the next day and that made the rope he strings across the road appear. BUT the weapon wasn't poisoned and the context clues made it seem like I missed something.

Oops, I just turned this one in with the "I won but I don't know what happened to your son" ending. Is Peter going to leave me alone now?
