Side Quest Weeds: nettles, thistles, dandelions always fail??

So you get the side Quest Weeds during the Side Quest In God´s Hands. Brother Nicodemus says i should go to the church garden and pick up nettles, thistles and dandelions, but not mint and eyebright. I did exact same thing like 3 times. But he always says i do it wrong??

What am i missing here?

yeah there's probably a patch of earth nearby that is in his 'quest area' but it's not readily visible. missing a patch, or picking the wrong herb will invite mission failed.

I failed as well, then went back to the area and found another spot nearby that i hadn't gotten to, and i also pulled up a bunch of eyebright by accident lol.

There are three patches that contain mint, eyebright, and comfrey. I make sure to herb a little extra outside the boxes too, just incase. If you follow the brother and talk to him after he looks at the patches, he will award a perfect score.

A few rank points in alch and herb if I remember correctly. Enough that I hit 5 in alch, but not enough to do anything noticeable in herb because I did it a lot in the early game (I'm like rank 16 now or something). Unlocks a second quest to gather one of each herb and an old book for further points. Fairly easy few quests for some easy skill points all things considered. Most of the herbs for the second quest can be found in the immediate area.

If I remember correctly, the alch in Rattay sells the herbs needed, so if you are willing to make a quick run, you can buy one of each herb and snag a quick copy of the book he sells, it will cover everything, if you want to go that route.
