Also if it allows negotiate only for coal at first, adding the other three once you have the need if you have no funds and need income as fast as possible.
If you avoid overpaying the locator it can help with margins at the beginning, and gives a higher final profit.
Ye that is why I wanted to ask here first so I don’t mess up and end with even more negative per day.
So thanks for the answer! Wood-bridge-trader-forge it is! :)
You can *almost* break even with the Trader - an optimal arrangement with no imports is only -10 groschen per day, but you have to build one of the artisan buildings to make a profit, this is with all of the available workers for the Woodcutter and Trader's post.
It would be even cheaper to build baker or butcher... and you could maybe get a working and profitable hamlet with only ~15,000 with some care.
So I would say the DLC itself was not worth it at all, but as an additional motivator to do some side quests I never was interested before and robbing people and sneaking and stuff I also never did once it was quite the fun time.
The cost of the hamlet can be partially covered by finding the workers who support the built structures and negotiating wages favourably - without them you could be up to 225 groschen per day down at that point before importing anything.
Buying in only coal and building the forge is still viable though with the unoptimised start, the basic bakery will lose at least 55 if built alone, up to a loss of 155 per day. The basic butcher can get you to within 5 of breaking even.
(With the optimal choices, both the baker and butcher can raise a profit as the first income building though - up to 160 and 190 per day respectively).
Woodcutter - Bridge and road - Traders - Bakery.
After that I went -35 every day. But then I went and got Kornelius in Rattay to be my trader And suddenly I got +40 every day :)
Probably more profit with butcher but I wanted to test the bakery :)
