Restless spirit bug

I have been told to wait at the cross roads for the Apothecary to come and meet me so we can do the exorcism, so I waited there all night and he did not show. I went back to Rattay to see where he was, and he is stil stood in his store reading the book. I tried talking and all that is there is the generic questions about Rattay, no shop nor any mentiono of the quest itself.
Has anyone else encountered/been able to solve this issue?

are you "SURE" ? .look form "MORE" cross roads yet? Maybe your at the wrong one?...(In Ledetcho?) theres a walkthrought on Steam if you Yell "UNCLE' and get fed up,,,hate to Spoil the game for ya? (look around a bit ok? Check your Map?)BTW...your real Close!

I go to/wait at the cross roads which are marked on the map, and he never shows. He still stays in the same place in Rattay. I have looked up walkthroughs (because it started to get on my nerves) and even stood at the exact spot someone else did but he did not appear

have you FOUND the grave yet? He's gotta have a place to go to maybe? Check the questline closely, Im thinking you may have missed a Quest marker(as its called) that conclude to the Meeting at a crossroad? (Glitch maybe let you talk to the guy when you should not have been able?)
It is a game right?
Myself, if it gets to me, I go back to a previous save and start again...

Yeah I found the grave earlier on, and then spoke to him. In red on the quest log thing it says about meeting him there at night. I would go back to a previous save but I started the quest many saves back and I did quite a few quests in that time, so would have to redo a lot of work.
After he did not appear at the cross roads, I have been to the grave to see if he would be there but there is no sign of him

Last "Suggestion" then Im outta ideas?
Walk along the road parrell to the river near the crossroads a bit, (not to far past the creek that goes up the hill ok?)
He may be STANDING on the road near the crossroads maybe? or Even just Inside a BUSH?

He does show up, And will still be in his shop. He stands next to the fence of the farmhouse to the west of the crossroads 2 hours after sunset (about 10:00) west of the stream.

I know this is an old thread, but I've found a solution to this:

For me, the reason the apothecary wasn't showing up was because he was still stuck reading the damn Necronomicon in his shop. He wouldn't even go to sleep or eat, just constantly read the book. Eventually, I got so frustrated I pickpocketed the book out of his inventory then promptly slugged him in the face until he ran away and got a guard. Once I paid my fine, he was able to resume the mission and advance the quest.

I am on a playthrough right now and experienced this same bug, same condition of Konyesh constantly reading, doesn't show up, etc. Confirmed that this type of solution does work.

I took a similar but slightly less violent approach - I snuck into the shop from the alchemy lab, which takes you right behind him. I choked him out, at which point he dropped the book. I went to the crossroads right away and there he was.

The post-quest results were weird - he wasn't in his shop in the daytime and it remained closed and off limits with a trespassing marker as soon as you went in. Some time later, I was curious to see where he went, and about 2200 game time I snuck back into the shop, only to find him at his counter, open for business. We had some small talk and a pleasant conversation, traded some things. Weird.

I guess it's kind of nice to have a late-night apothecary, just in case you need something for those after-hours alchemy sessions.

Any fix? Same issue. He just reading his book every day.

Firstly:

Nobody likes a necromancer.

Secondly:

What has happened is that you robbed him and have the book in your possession. You need to return the book to it's rightful place at the back of the Apothecary. If that doesn't work then you need to revert to a save before you stole the book.

For those who stubbled upon this feed searching for an answer : my solution was to go talk to the Apothecary directly in his shop in Rattay around 20:00 (10 pm). It prompted the next step (go to the tomb), and I just rushed there to proceed (the Apothecary teleported there, probably an old magic learned in the cursed book)

Brother, how is that a buggy quest when the quest tells you to go there after sundown?
Never have I seen such thought process when one is shocked that the quest proceeds as it was told.
